Boys Programs

Age Group: 10-16 – Grand Rapids, MN

The Boy’s Program is an incentive, community-based program that supports boys in obtaining individual goals through daily programming, skill development, and education through on-site services in a home-style setting while attending public school.

Program Components Include:

  • Individualized goal planning
  • Family visits and phone calls
  • On-site heath screen and coordination of needed medical and dental services
  • Structured recreational and leisure activities
  • Daily skills groups
  • Independent living skill development (ex: self-care, employment, money management)
  • Assistance with obtaining driver's permit/license
  • Camp North Homes - Camp North Homes opened in 2016 and is primarily an extension of existing programs within our continuum of care including opportunities for our residential youth. Activities at camp include, but not limited to:
    • Archery
    • Canoeing
    • Swimming
    • Fishing
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Ropes Course
    • Wood working

Other services are coordinated based on individual need such as:

  • Medication management
  • Individual therapy
  • Substance use disorder services
  • School based and/or community based children’s therapeutic support services

Department of Corrections Residential Programming for Boys

Our gender-specific programming for boys in the Grand Rapids area is in partnership with Department of Corrections. Youth in this program are referred by a county worker, probation officer, or court order.


  • County Pay
  • Not in primary need of chemical dependency or suicide intervention
  • Preferred open delinquency file, but not required
